9/24/09 Lady Falcons Have A Busy Week
Last week was eventful for the Lady Falcons. They traveled to Terra Ceia on Monday; played Jacksonville Christian at home on Tuesday; and went to Greenville to play Oakwood on Thursday.
The game against Terra Ceia was a win by forfit for the Lady Falcons.
On Tuesday, the girls challenged the Conquerors from Jacksonville Christian Academy for the second time. The Conquerors won the first game 25-20, but the Lady Falcons stopped them there with three consecutive wins- 28-26, 25-20, and 25-15. The Falcons' front line was led by senior Noelle Dalhouse, juniors Sara Thorn, Rachel Walker, and Katie Foley, and freshmen Holly Radford and Mary Grace Lee. The front line had a combined 25 kills and 15 blocks. The Falcon's service game was led by seniors Noelle Dalhouse and Hannah Radford, junior Stefanie Vorleiter, and freshman Holly Radford. Eighth grader Hannah Thorn also served well, and she ended up serving an ace on game point to win the whole match for the Falcons.
The girls then traveled to Oakwood, where they were not victorious. Oakwood won three games to none- 25-13, 25-9, and 25-17.
